Inventory Management

The key to obtaining the highest possible inventory accuracy is ensuring that positive identification is attained during each warehouse activity. This can be accomplished in one of two ways: through real-time RF equipment or data entry into a terminal from an updated paper list. WAREPAK/400 supports both methods throughout the entire system, enabling you to phase-in or interchangeably use the most appropriate solution. Inventory can be identified through SKU, bay, lot or load number, serial number, quantity, weight, quantity per, UOM, manufacture date and bar code license.

WarehouseInventory tracking can be performed effectively and efficiently with WAREPAK/400 either with or without a bar-code license plate. Other available inventory management processes include:

  • Real-Time Inventory Control - WAREPAK/400 provides continuous real-time inventory updates, verification and accuracy via RF.

  • Cycle Counting - Inventory verification through system generated cycle counts may be completed manually or automatically.

  • Physical Inventories - System assisted inventories via RF provide first and second count instructions. If any discrepancies appear between the first and second counts, third count instructions are automatically generated.

  • Velocity Classification - Users have the ability to define inventory velocity based upon product movement.

  • Velocity Movement Analysis - The system will track the movement of inventory based upon its user defined velocity codes.

  • Product Master Maintenance - Inventory can be maintained and given various types of definitions, settings and flags which will control putaway, storage and pick processes through master maintenance.

  • Stock Moves - Inventory is easily manipulated throughout the facility via RF or terminal. All stock moves are recorded in a history file for future audit trail purposes.

  • Product Status Change - The status of a SKU can be quickly and easily changed through inventory management.

  • Recoup Processing - A recoup product status is provided for SKUs that are being reprocessed and repackaged.

  • Inventory Adjustments - This function is provided so that inventory status, quantity, location and product identification can be changed or corrected.

  • Inventory Consolidation - To maximize storage space, the system provides inventory move options and a wide view of all the pertinent information that is needed to consolidate space.

  • Recall Processing - With history files, product can be recalled and easily tracked at the discretion of the manufacturer.

  • Damage Tracing - The system provides the ability to track damaged SKUs through the receiving, storage and shipping processes along with providing pre-defined user damage reason codes.

WAREPAK/400 stores inventory history logs of all inventory activity. Three history log options are provided: Inventory for the current month, inventory activity for the previous month and inventory for any user requested dates.
